About Tokusetsu Unsosen (Kyusuisen)
The IJN called auxiliary distilling ships "Tokusetsu Unsosen (Kyusuisen)". Their task was to supply fresh water. Nine merchant ships were used as Tokusetsu-unsosen (Kyusuisen) between 1937 and 1945.
