About Tokusetsu Densenfusetsusen

The IJN called converted cable layersarmed "Tokusetsu-densenfusetsusen". Their task was to lay, repair and cut submarine cables. Two merchant ships and one captured ship were used as Tokusetsu-densenfusetsusen between 1937 and 1945.
