About Tokusetsu-suiraibokan

The IJN called converted destroyer tenders "Tokusetsu-suiraibokan". Their task was to engage in the service as a mother ship of destroyers and torpedoboats. Four merchant ships were used as Tokusetsu-suiraibokan between 1937 and 1945.
